From 15 to 17 April 2013, an oil spill response exercise took place in Norway. It aimed to simulate a full-scale response exercise testing Shell’s preparedness in the Draugen field. The training emphasised taking care of the coastal zone and training of application of barrier 3 systems.

The trial took place in Kristiansund and Risavika and various on-sea locations and on beaches, assisted by onshore support and coordination.

Also cleaning of beaches was included in the exercises. In Vikna, support vessels were involved in the actions as well as aircraft.(Spill-international, Edited by Topco)
